Around twelve months ago, we proudly introduced DuaLiving, marking an exciting new chapter for our business. While our name changed from Humpy Co to DuaLiving across Queensland and Northern NSW, our values, experience, and commitment to quality have remained exactly the same.
As we celebrate our first year as DuaLiving, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the journey, recognise the incredible people behind the business, and thank the customers who have trusted us to create spaces that make a real difference to their lives.
A Legacy Built as Humpy Co
Before becoming DuaLiving, we were proudly known as Humpy Co, building hundreds of pods, studios, and granny flats throughout Northern NSW as licensed builders. Those years provided the experience and knowledge that continue to shape every project we deliver today.
The rebrand wasn’t about starting over—it was about creating a brand that better reflects who we are today and our focus on helping families create flexible, functional dual living spaces. Everything we’ve learned over the years continues to be the foundation of our business.
A Year of Hard Work
Launching a new brand takes far more than changing a logo. Over the past 12 months, an enormous amount of work has gone into growing DuaLiving.
Michele has led much of the brand development, customer experience, and communication, ensuring the transition to DuaLiving has been seamless while continuing to build strong relationships with our clients.
Joey has continued to oversee construction and operations, maintaining the high standards of workmanship and attention to detail that our customers have come to expect.
Together, they’ve worked tirelessly to build a stronger business that’s ready for the future.
The Team Behind DuaLiving
While Michele and Joey have played a significant role in the growth of DuaLiving, they certainly haven’t done it alone.
Our entire team has embraced the new brand, continued to deliver quality builds, supported our customers, and worked together to make the past year such a success. From our office staff (including Mackenzie, Michele’s daughter) to our builders and trades, every person has contributed to what DuaLiving has become today.
We’re incredibly grateful to have a team that genuinely cares about the work they do and the families we build for.
Still Connected to Humpy Co
One thing many people don’t realise is that while DuaLiving now operates throughout Queensland and Northern NSW, Humpy Co continues to operate successfully in Victoria.
Our connection remains strong, with both businesses regularly sharing ideas, innovations, and industry knowledge to ensure we’re always improving what we offer.
We’re also fortunate that Brian, Michele’s father, continues to lead Humpy Co in Victoria and remains a Director of DuaLiving. His decades of experience, guidance, and ongoing involvement help ensure we continue building on the reputation and values that made Humpy Co such a trusted name.
It’s a relationship that gives our customers the best of both worlds—local knowledge backed by decades of shared experience across two businesses committed to building better pods, studios, and granny flats.
